Alfariq Weekend
The Alfari9 Weekend program was launched as a mobile initiative aimed at expanding Alfariq's impact across Morocco by introducing the association’s philosophy, values, and innovative training models to youth in different cities. Conceived after extensive internal discussions, the program was envisioned as a mini-parallel outreach strategy—a way to connect with new communities beyond Ouarzazate and offer a condensed but powerful experience in leadership, creativity, and civic engagement. From Zagora to Agadir, and from Rabat to Tiznit and Essaouira, each weekend edition brought Alfariq’s message of youth empowerment to life in local contexts.

Engaging Workshops, Local Collaboration, and Youth-Led Ideas
Each edition of Alfari9 Weekend combined engaging workshops, storytelling sessions, creative exercises, and project pitching challenges. In cities like Zagora, participants tackled local problems with workshops like “Make Zagora a Better Place,” while in Rabat, the event featured a celebration of Alfariq alumni and the launch of the Alumna platform and Itilia3 . In Tiznit, youth interacted with inspiring change-makers from the Souss region, exploring active listening, team building, and social intelligence. Each city had a unique flavor, but the common thread was youth-driven ideas and the desire to activate leadership through local relevance. Partnerships with grassroots associations such as The New Generation and New Code brought added energy and local trust to the sessions.
Expanding Horizons and Strengthening the Alfariq Network
Alfari9 Weekend was not just a series of training events—it was a bridge between local realities and national youth action. By visiting five cities and interacting with over 90 participants, the program expanded Alfariq’s national network, identified promising local leaders, and seeded community-based projects addressing pressing challenges like education gaps, environmental issues, youth integration, and transportation needs. These weekends also offered a chance to reflect on how youth in each region view their role in development, paving the way for deeper collaboration and future programs. Alfari9 Weekend proved to be a dynamic example of how civic innovation travels best through dialogue, storytelling, and inclusive action.
